New Zealand
Приєднався 29 лип 2006
Kia Orana. Hello, G'dday & Welcome to my CheekyUkie Channel.
I love creating videos and sharing my message of Encouragement and Hope through my videos.
Who Am I? My name is Ukarau Kakepare, or as my friends know me by Ukz (Ooks) or Ukie. I live in Foxton Beach, New Zealand.
I've had this UA-cam Channel for the last 16 years, originally uploading videos I had made for youth and church related events. These videos have grown over the years into my love of music and creating videos. Recently I have started vlogging and sharing my story of depression and losing weight.
My Goals are to share how I overcame my struggles and how I have made changes in my lifestyle to a better healthier ME!
Please feel free to leave a comment, especially if you are struggling with depression and weight issues, hey lets talk?
I plan on uploading new videos 3 times a week in the form of my Walkin' Vlogs and uploading random timelapse videos woohoo!
Peace!

In Memory of my mum

42 years ago on this date my mum passed away. Mum was 43 years old and we had her tangi at Motuiti Marae in Foxton, then she was buried at Paranui Urupa. I still remember the day you passed away mum,. I was a month away from being 8 years old. It was a sunny day and we lived next to Windley School on Mungavin Avenue in Porirua. I wasn't allowed inside as our doctor, Dr Yee was seeing my mum. Th...

As a Bible Believing Baptist I find this hilarious..... "Does everyone want the soup" was perfectly executed
“Are you all together, or is it a separate check?” 😂🤣😭

Well thats a noice from a car
Where’s part 2?
Just timeless
Mel Brooks’ best movie in my opinion.
Still waiting for Mr Brooks' take on Muhammad...I'll not hold my breath.
Jesus. What? Jesus. What? That cracked me up along with the waiter asking if they want separate checks! Brooks the God of Comedy.
Better than the Paris Opening Ceremony....no drag queens 😂
Lol came to see if someone would talk about this
Brooks is a genius.
Oi more like they were all serial killer sources ok trust me ok agent responsible Chee bezervich
Opening ceremony 2024 Olympics... Lol
"a fanabola, this is not good" 😂😂😂. Davinci from Brooklyn
He was an exceptional person, musician and all round wonderful guy. Sadly missed.
I still cry when I hear this song and I'm sure I always will.
I don’t think de Vinci was around then
Duh!
I'm here because of the Olympics. Haha.
Anyone notice the matzo on the table? Historically accurate
Nah mehe mai bless the lord ❤️ 🙏 ka pai have fun in world 🌎 past on in life ka keti moari Ora prince Tua Tena pai
Now that's how you make a proper gag of the Last Supper that actually made you laugh!..Not utterly disgust you as done in Paris 2024, couldn't have they called Mel Gibsonb to have an opinion before the opening or the French were too 'hurtful' to have a professional critic?
This is even funnier now after watching Christians lose their minds over the Paris Olympics opening ceremony 😂😂
Even "Christians" can laugh at this. What was presented at the Olympics, not so much.
Lol you would think people would be more concerned with whatever the heck that was on the olympics instead of worrying about other peoples emotions
@@Gerrytheg310 There are a lot of "Christians" in the world. It is still the major religion in many of the countries which sent athletes to compete in the Olympics. Some of what was presented in that opening would be considered offensive in other religions, too, which make up the religious majority in the countries which sent their own athletes. That part of the opening was therefore concerning to many millions of people across the world, and it was known beforehand that it would be. Unfortunately, it was a very unnecessary distraction, which _did_ divert many people's attention from the events themselves, and the athletes who deserved more recognition than they have ended up getting. Given some of the recent notable advertising debacles involving similar "attitudes" maybe The Olympics Committee should have known better than to allow it, and lose a sizable portion of their potential viewership, to the detriment of the athletes they're supposed to showcase. (Not to mention any future losses, which those other refenced debacles clearly illustrate are likely.)
so you copied this from the paris olympics, since the alphabet people would have you believe they thought of everything first...
Who's here after the Paris opening ceremonies.
Here I stand!
Me!
I am, it's odd but it reminded me of this clip
This should have been the opening Olympic ceremony...
Mel Brooks has always had a way of using his humor tastefully, and without malice. The display at the Olympics was neither.
@@kurtkensson2059 the display at the Olympics wasn't The Last Supper. Also, no, Brooks' humour (although the best in the world) has never been thought of as tasteful, and the malice is that he absolutely is showing how ridiculous the things he's making fun of are. Did you think The Producers was a little love letter to Hitler?
@@JamesMMcCann It was immediately obvious what that display at the Olympics was based on, to anyone with a knowledge of the subject. Denying it is an exercise in futility. I don't share your opinion of Mel Brooks' humor, either. One of his talents has been to use controversial subjects in his comedies, without falling into a trap of offending those who are being made sport of. He could take "nazis" (and symbols of theirs) and use them humorously (I still know many of the words to "Springtime for Hitler" thanks to the Dr. Demento show) without people raging about seeing swastikas. (See also; Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" or Jack Benny's "To Be, or Not to Be.") He could take the white robes of the kkk, and use them to make people laugh, as he did in "Blazing Saddles." (The 😊 on the back of them was inspired.) He could even poke fun at Indians (or "Indigenous Persons" if you prefer) and Blacks ("Persons of Color") without creating an uproar, and make people laugh unashamedly at the use of the "N word." In short, Brooks was able to use humor to broach subjects that nearly anyone else would find offensive, or at least controversial. It wasn't "malice" that made his successes possible. If audiences had perceived it that way, he never would have been able to continue creating some of the funniest films in cinema history. The surest sign that "progressivism" is a misnomer is that many of his masterpieces could no longer be made and released in today's hyper-sensitive world, and that is a shame, not a sign of our "progress."

Remember when people laughed? Even at something silly like this.
More offensive than the 2024 Olympics
I'm here because of all the Pearl clutching over sone depiction of the Last Supper they did at the Olympics that everyone is clutching their pearls about. This is how it went down. Just as Mel Brooks, time traveler and waiter depicted it. 😂
What is really pathetic was it had nothing at all to do with the Last Supper. It was called The Feast of Dionysus.
Jesus goes over the bill at the last supper : "Why would-[ closes his eyes, shakes his head ] -Why would anyone order wine?"
Mel Brooks ain't got nothing on the Paris Olympics 🤣
Leonardo di Mario and Luigi
Hell of a performer
France should have gone with this instead of the autism they pulled.
I’m here after the Olympics lol
Me too
I’ve been showing this video to all of the “offended” people.
@@JazzSoulMetal Have any of them been offended by the Mel Brooks version? I don't remember any controversy from this or any of the other biblical scenes from the movie.
First things that came in mind after the opening of Paris 2024...Jesus, if I needed a good laugh after that
Mel is just down right zany...
Miss them days 🙏 Pure talent and no auto tunes . Reminds me of my Aunty Mary (Whina Coopers eldest daughter)
Got reminded of the Prince on X moments ago and had to hear E Ipo...tears coming down lol
In the late 70s early 80s I got a call from a muso friend asking if I could fill in drumming for Jayne Pou of the Angels Tuis band at the time so I head off to the Otahuhu RSA Tui asked me how much I charge so I told him and he said ok and I'll throw in a feed a humongous plate of steak eggs onions tomatoes and chips 😊 it was an awesome night and of course being a male in an all female band I copped all the jokes and as a young drummer I didn't know much at all I just followed his lead I'll be 75 in a few days time great memories
Love and miss Prince Tui Teka and the song he's singing reminds me of the loss of my Mum.
1:09 Why do painters stick their thumbs out before they do a painting? I've seen that in other films as well
Gauging the scale and perspective. How big the subject of the painting is compared to their thumb at arm's length.
@@dars5229 That makes sense - thank you!
Mel Brooks is a comical genius.
Brilliant. In my mind I can hear Jesus howling with laughter and that's hard because he's been dead for 2,000 years.
